The alliums have come out en masse plus the aquilegias, so we have a purple patch!
I love them close up, the tiny flowers are so intricate.
We have two visitors to the Park - two swans are on the Lake! I do hope they stay. The last two were driven off by vandals, one was shot, and the other pined. Swans mate for life. How can people be so wicked? I will take my camera next time I go down there so you can see them. Not that swans are rare or anything, but they are so beautiful.

Very pretty flowers. I've tried several times to grow those but never had any luck. I can enjoy yours.
oh, I love allium...they stand so tall and yes, the little flowers are quite intricate.
You know, I don't nor ever will understand how people can be so cruel; it's amazing to me really!
do take your camera and keep us posted...
I love Alliums too - Yours look really gorgeous. x
I like that--"How can people be so wicked?" You brought a smile to my face Gilly.
Love the purple flowers. Funny, I'm getting ready to put a story on the blog about my purple dining room.
Love your purple allium! Beautiful pictures!
Hope your swans stay safe. Looking forward to pictures.
Gorgeous alluims -they look great x
I love monochromatic garden scenes. And the tiny individual Allium flowers do look lovely close up.
We get some shorter types of Allium here, but don't often see them with purple Aquilegia. Our Aquilegia tend to be in warmer hues, and bloom later than the little purple and white Alliums common around here. They're taller than yellow Allium moly (Holy Moly - a favorite of witches in ancient times).
But we're already pretty much through with the spring flowers and on to purple and lavender perennial verbenas here. 97 degrees F here one day last week (36 degrees C).
Thanks for sharing your pictures.
How could someone shoot a swan??? And I love your purple patch!!!
Love your allium! And one can never have too man y photos of elegant swans.
I have always loved alliums, particularly the giant ones, which look so dramatic in large arrangements.
