......the Canada Geese start pairing up an d defending their territory. One pair regularly nests on an island in the lake, and another in the garden of a house by the lake. They are terrific parents, and we have seen several families of 3, 4 or 5 grow up.
Its also Spring when the little green tufts appear on the larch trees. I love them when they are just coming out, it is such a fresh green. They also turn a bright glowing orange in the autumn, but that is a long way away!
I had some beautiful crocuses in the garden, but four large furry paws have walked on them. (sigh) Still, there are some he has missed and I can enjoy those!

You sound as excited as I am with the signs of spring.
This winter seems to have been never ending, is it just me that feels like this?
Usually we get a few nice sunny winter days but they seem to have been few and far between this year.
Enjoy what are left of your crocus. Aren't we forgiving to our cats? we would go mad if it were humans that had trampled them.....

The paws are a great deal bigger, I am afraid, and belong to a Cocker Spaniel.
Thanks for calling in to my blog.
It sounds as though your spring is closer than ours, but I think we're both on about the same parallel (45th). It's just plain WET here, no tree buds in sight yet. I am looking forward to a little sun!
Your photo of the trees over the lake and the geese are beautiful. Do the geese mate for life? I knoe the Grey Goose does.
Best wishes for your lovely walks outside now.
