Sorry, I couldn't resist the pun! But just to prove I am still around, trudging through the white stuff with the dog, alive and well, though still battling with old glasses and new eyes, I am posting pics of the park in the snow. (Well, that's the only place I've been!)
But thank God for digital photography!
They all look a bit black and white - but that's the way it is! It wasn't a very nice day, so they are not as sparkly as I would like. Maybe tomorrow!

With icy paths I should think that the park is far enough to go!. Hope your patience is not wearing thin for your eyes - these things take time. xxxxxx
What Diane said. Take care in the snow and ice!
I like how the light makes everything look so monochromatic.
Glad to hear you are still kicking around. Have missed you.
As I posted on my blog today, the snow is so lovely...and quieting of the world's woes. It forces us to slow down and capture the essence of who we are...
Lovely photos as always Gilly. x
I wrote a comment but it blipped away. If it comes back, you'll have me repeating myself!
I love the photo of the park benches--so austere. The almost-black-and-white is perfect to show how cold it is.
I hope your eyes are getting better every day. Will you get new glasses to go with them?
I am ready for some snow here. None yet, though it has fallen to the east, west and south of us. I will get good and tired of it by the time it goes away around April, but I'm thinking some about now would be nice. It is cold, so might as well have the white stuff.
Been thinking of you lately, so have been praying.
Your pictures are lovely! It definitely looks cold there.
Great photos, Gilly! I cannot believe how cold it looks there -- already!
Duck Prints!
At long last Gilly, a giveaway on my blog - hope that you'll take part. Lesley
Love the ducks, though I always feel sorry for the wild life in this weather, We do put food out for the fox and feed the birds but I have to tell myself that I can't feed everything.
I really like the stark beauty of these photos. I'm a snow person, too - I must admit to liking winter.Happy New Year to you.
