Carmi's Thematic Challenge this month is "Spring has Sprung"
I love the 'coiled springs' of the opening ferns at the bottom of our garden, so that is my entry!
Of course, Spring has sprung is lots of other ways as well. Hopefully I'll be posting some of them on my next blog.
Including the first ducklings on the lake - 13 of them - but they seem to have disappeared for now. Hope all is well!

i love ferns..i'm surrounded by them
I love ferns and there were several in my old garden. I used to look for the first fronds uncurling at this time of the year. Lovely. A x
I love ferns, too!
Love that picture - it really looks like a spring ready to be sprung.
What an exquisite creation, the fern. I love how you've captured the scene...I think I need to get some around here, too!
Lovely photograph Gilly - very thematic - spring unfurling, xxxxx
Great picture!
Hi Gilly thanks for visiting my blog. I love ferns...used to have a lot of them..my house here does not have enough shade to plant them or hang in pots. Your photos below are beautiful... Spring is such a wonderful time of year!
The fern is lovely. Most ferns won't survive here. All that primordial green is enough to induce envy if one did not resist the impulse.
On the other hand, spring arrived here a while ago. Some of the tomato plants have little fruits on them.
Thanks for being on the lookout for beautiful things.
My favorite time of year... when everything stirs and comes to life. I love ferns... a perfect entry for Spring has sprung, I enjoyed!
Lovely pic Gilly.
I have a clump of ferns opposite the kitchen window and love watching the progress of the unfurling fronds each Spring. Have a good weekend. x
Great shot... With the fern curled up like that you can just imagine it capturing something. :)
Oh, I love the coiled fern frond. It's going to pop any second now!
Happy day to you, Holly
